Advantage took a trip to Bowery Mission, where students got to see firsthand how the 101-year old organization has been helping the community by providing food, clothing, shelter, and fellowship to people with "exaggerated needs" in the Lower East Side of New York City.
Working as a volunteer at the Bowery Mission fulfills community service hours for Marta Valle students, and Advantage is in the process of organizing scheduled trips to Bowery Mission to volunteer. For info, come see Mimi or Jim in the Beacon Office after 9th period.
